Introduction

I live in the Rockville, MD area, and, hiking is just about my favorite thing to do.

How did you discover this meetup?

Some of my other hiking buddies have recommended meetup as a great venue for finding more hiking groups.

What are you looking for out of this group? (walks, transition from walking to hiking, easy, moderate, or strenuous hikes, ultra hiking, or trail maintenance work?) Please state all that applies to help me plan activities to meet your needs...

I like being out in nature and I like the challenge of long difficult hikes. Best of all is having some company along on the trip. I am interested in hikes of all lengths and difficulty levels, backpacking or camping. Trail maintenance might be interesting, too. I am excited to see what your group has to offer.

  • Hi there! I'm signed up for the George Washington National Forest hike on April 13th, but don't have a ride from DC (I don't have a car). Any chance you'd like to carpool?

    Thanks!

  • Hi Tom,

Welcome to the Capital Hiking Club. The club has some good hikes coming up this Spring, and usually plenty of friendly people for sharing the trip. Our Saturday bus' first stop is in DC near the White House. Hope to see you with us soon! --Andy
