Announcing a new Meetup for The Maryland Jedi Order!

Meetup Description: The Jedi path involves balancing mind, body, and spirit, so this next Baltimore Jedi Chapter Training Meeting will be held in Perry Hall, Maryland and will focus on martial arts and self-defense. Stan has a personal dojo in his basement and has graciously offered the use of his space. The address and directions will be sent out to all ?Yes? and ?Maybe? RSVP?s about a week before the event, or you can contact either Stan or Aimee for details.

Please note that the meetup time has also been changed to 4:00 pm. The rough agenda is as follow. Light refreshments will be served.

3:45 ? 4:00 Doors Open

Feel free to swing by a little early to settle in and chat a bit before the meeting

4:00 ? 4:20 Introductions and Logistics

We?ll have the opportunity to share brief introductions and get to know a little more about the group.

4:20 ? 5:00 Discussion on ?The Gift of Fear?

Stan will lead a discussion based on the techniques from the book, ?The Gift of Fear? by Gavin DeBecker. The discussion will explore trusting your intuition to save you from dangerous situations and learning how to follow your gut.

5:00 ? 6:00 Controlled Defense Tactics

Following the discussion, Stan will lead a workshop or Controlled Defense Tactics (CDT) which turns simple motions like ?knocking on the door? or ?turning the key? into self defense moves.
