Feel free to drop in a little early to settle in and chat before the meeting.

4:00 ��� 4:30 Introductions and Logistics (Aimee)

We���ll take some time to introduce the group and its purpose for any new members, along with sharing brief introductions to help us all get to know each other a little better. Introductions will then be followed by brief logistics and updates about the Baltimore Jedi Chapter, associated Maryland Jedi Order groups, the upcoming Michigan Gathering, and topics for future meetings.

4:30 ��� 5:30 Taiji Ruler (Aimee)

As part of the Jedi path, it's important to cultivate the Force / Chi energy within us. At this meeting, we will learn the Taiji Ruler form in order to build and integrate our own energy.

Taiji Ruler is a unique Qigong form consisting of eight simple rocking movements performed while holding a ���ruler,��� a specially designed wooden dowel cupped between the hands. The movements are done in repetition in combination with slow, deep breathing and are designed to build Qi energy in the lower, middle, and upper energy centers of the body, while also stimulating the energy centers in the middle of the palms. The ruler works to both amplify and integrate the energy into the body, although the form can still be done effectively with or without the ruler.

The entire set, once learned, takes less than 15 minutes to complete, and if done for one hundred days consecutively can cultivate new levels of energy for the practitioner. Unlike longer Tai Chi and Qigong forms, this form is short and easy to learn and detailed handouts describing the form with illustrations will also be provided.

This is an opportunity to discuss any ideas related to our personal goals and/or training along the Jedi path and also discuss the future of the Baltimore Jedi Chapter.

6:00 ��� 6:30 Free Time

Feel free to hang out afterwards to continuing practicing defense techniques or just relax and chat.


Every month the Baltimore Chapter will have new workshops based on member interest and skill level. Volunteers to lead workshops and feedback are encouraged and welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
