Posted by Mose James July 1, 2010 at 4:59 PMFantastic job Joe! Everything seemed to run so smoothly, you should be very pleased. The panel was great! Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into this-
Posted by Maggie Conyers Zerkus July 1, 2010 at 12:10 AMCan we admit that this is Mashable Day though? http://socialmediahansolo.c...
Posted by Tom June 30, 2010 at 3:32 PMReally looking forward to seeing how this turns out :)
Happy Social Media day from Web Devils!
Posted by Bret Phillips June 30, 2010 at 3:16 PMJoe, for a free event expect a 2-to-1 ratio of no-shows to attendees.
Posted by Mike Schinkel June 30, 2010 at 1:11 PMJoe, I honestly don't think all the people that RSVP'd will show, I do think that setting up a sort of raffle or something that allows us to 'guess the number' of attendees would be cool
Posted by Tom June 30, 2010 at 10:50 AMThe number of people who have RSVPed for this event exceeds the capacity of our venue @ Hub Atlanta. We will try to accommodate as many as possible, but I suggest arriving early if you wish to attend. Per my comment below, we would be happy to setup an overflow tent if someone has access to one.
Posted by Joe Hamm June 30, 2010 at 10:46 AMClick the "I'm Interested" button in the upper right hand corner of this screen:)
Posted by Joe Hamm June 30, 2010 at 10:43 AMhow do you RSVP? there's no contact information.
Posted by Daniel Cho June 30, 2010 at 10:23 AMI will prolly be there to represent Social Media Day! Yeah baby! #mashSMday!!!!
Posted by Art Hall June 30, 2010 at 5:13 AMAbsolutely! We will be shooting for a "swarm" badge on Foursquare tomorrow night:)
Posted by Joe Hamm June 29, 2010 at 5:55 PMHammbone....will have to join "afterparty" since I am committed to AIMA earlier. Keep us all abreast of your whereabouts on 4square, ok? See you tomorrow.
Posted by David Favero June 29, 2010 at 5:42 PMWow...what a great response! Does anyone have access to a large tent that we can setup in the back parking lot at Hub Atlanta?
We're going to do our best to accommodate for any event overflow. Our thought was to broadcast the live stream of the event and setup a bar for those that arrive late after we reach capacity. We want to ensure an opportunity for networking and make room for everyone interested!
Thanks in advance for your help:)
Posted by Joe Hamm June 29, 2010 at 3:37 PMTom, there is no official RSVP sign-up. We're basing numbers on those who have shown interest on this Mashable Meetup site with the understanding that everyone never shows up. If half of those that RSVP'ed actually attended, it would still be a pretty full venue.
Good question. Looking forward to seeing you there.
Posted by John Cason June 29, 2010 at 2:35 PMWhere does one RSVP? The "I'm interested" sidebar is basically 'maybe', have you created an official event somewhere?
Posted by Tom June 29, 2010 at 10:51 AMWe have 19 questions posted thus far. Deadline to submit questions will be today at 5PM today.

Posted by Carl Black June 23, 2010 at 1:10 AMYou may want to ask James Andrews @keyinfluencer (of Social Media company Everywhere) to DJ! :)
Posted by Jennifer Hutcheson June 23, 2010 at 12:26 AMWe're planning for the social media panel to start at 8:30pm and the DJ to go on around 9:30pm. Still confirming the DJ so feel free to suggest someone!
Posted by Joe Hamm June 23, 2010 at 12:03 AMRon, you and the DJ can have a battle of the bands! :)
Posted by Joe Hamm June 22, 2010 at 11:29 PMI'm just going to stand outside with a jukebox, just like in "Say Anything," except blaring crunk hits instead of 80s poseur music. Which will be like any other night, except all you guys will be there this time. So win!
Posted by Ron Harris June 22, 2010 at 8:53 PMHey Joe,
Posted by justin grier June 22, 2010 at 7:05 PMIs there any kind of schedule for the event?

Posted by Joe Hamm June 21, 2010 at 10:02 PMLeVar, I honestly hadn't thought about having that problem. Since its a Mashable event, I don't want to exclude anyone. However, there will be NO alcohol served to minors! PERIOD!
