Hello "down under"! We hope you had a successful event yesterday and if you're still awake in about 8 hours, join us in Canada online.

Lucky enough to have a great conversation with Euan, (including rugby union and bingo of all things!..), Met some good people and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Much thanks to the orgs, sponsors and Ivy for a great venue. I probably wouldnt of got in otherwise.

Hey Jamie, thanks and yes, I already have accounts on all those services. Unfortunately they NOT free if we are asking people to use their 250MB a month 3G bandwidth to stream. I am trying to organise wifi, but even so, it won't cope with lots of people streaming... :(
I won't be using my account to stream, will anyone else?

free streaming services http://www.livestream.com (FREE service), http://www.ustream.tv (FREE service) or http://qik.com/ (stream from mobile cost dependant on carrier). You can set all these up pretty quick DIY. Maybe add them to your list next time round the block.

hiya Mashable - I contacted two companies about livestreaming but didn't get a return call. Your deadline for livestream link was Friday so I didn't pursue it :(
Any chance we could have more than 2 weeks notice next time? Oh wait. I guess we will, June 30 2011 :P

For free live streaming see www.livestream.com you will need to supply a good broadband connection or the like (says 10MB up). I used them a few times, pretty good. Plug your camera into your laptop & you are ready to go.....otherwise for a pro video stream u looking at around $10K.

I am fresh to 'Mashable', I'll admit it. But im making up for lost time everyday and I love the connectivity, possibilities and potential associated with social media. Look forward to meeting like minded people as well. See you all there.

Shaq I don't know, I think you have to be over 18 to come to these venues. In UK it's a different story....

UPDATE: I'm meeting with a venue operator on Wednesday (they own a number of Sydney clubs/bars/restaurants). Fingers crossed. Also, ABC 7:30 Report definitely want to film a social media social event, and mentioned this one. I've told 'em you guys don't mind... They might have to go with another event earlier, so don't make your decision to come based on being famous :P

Everyday feels like a social media day lately, but why not nominate one day to celebrate the old fashion way - getting together face to face, count me in.

Possible venue suggestion: Baroque Bistro Patisserie in The Rocks are a very socially networked restaurant and have amazing macarons and wine. They've also just won 'Best Restaurant' in the Rocks Chamber of Commerce AGM.

Are you guys ok with ABC 7:30 Report filming this event? They asked for an event I was going to , this month. Shall I suggest this one?

The theme - umm "how many apple devices can you bring/carry on you to a meet up without mechanical assistance" :) BTW who are the speakers and will there be progressive trance music :)

Im thinking theme should be The Social Media of Food & Alcohol? Nah not kidding :D any sponsors?
