The Event was amazing and love the venue just not sure that it was ideal for the speakers. I personally think that having alcohol available may have contributed to some of the increase in noise level the speakers had to talk over.May have been a better place to meet after the presentations held at a lecture hall perhaps? Only a suggestion. I learned a lot about what the company I have worked for awhile are doing wrong. Thank you

Thanks for the input Janet. To be honest, I thought the talking last year (2010) was due to the audio not being loud enough and the sight lines being terrible.

I thought that this year, because the sight lines were way better and we were in a pretty open space that it would help matters. Apparently, it did not. We are always learning and will do our best to do a better job the next time.

We are hard at work getting this all together. The City of Toronto is already on board with a letter of congratulations & proclamation of this important G33k holiday.
We're in the midst of finalizing some sponsorship as well as the venue. If you or anyone you know would like to jump on board and sponsor the event in some capacity let us know! We don't want to over-commercialize but then again who doesn't like FREE swag and giveaways? Plus, a LOT of you are in Marketing/Advertising anyway haha.
