I'm a Reference Librarian in the Metrowest area who was an avid paper-and-pencil gamer in high school and have now embraced board games as the only way to get my wife to share that particular strain of geekiness.
Searching meetup for gaming groups
I'm absolutely addicted to Carcassonne on my iPhone but will try any board game that you bust out. As for card games I grew up playing Euchre and that's about the only card game I know.

no pizza, thanks for asking. Chelsea and I will pick up food on the way. I was just saying actual numbers because this one looks busier than usual (usually 12 rsvps is max :P) so wanted to make sure we can fit :)
Thanks for the wall greeting, Michael! Looking forward to meeting the group at the library.
Looking forward to library gaming later this month. I'm definitely up for chipping in towards dinner takeout, saves me from having to eat ahead of time.
That reminds me I've been wanting to get over to the Central Square branch to check it out...I'm a nice walk from the Main Branch, lucky me, but like to visit libraries in general. Are you on Goodreads.com by chance? I'm big on collecting book-loving "friends" and adding way too many books to my "To-Read" shelf.
Good luck with the job process :-)
Long live librarians! I work as a circ/ILL assistant here in Cambridge and not only love libraries, but greatly admire the Reference folk who seem to know how to find an answer to anything.
