Definitely a scenic hike! Dave made this hike very interesting with facts about the desert and the 1995 Rio Fire.

Our first time attending. Which parking area are we meeting at? Google maps has several trails and areas/roads named at the park.

Parking and restrooms are at the end of Shallmo Drive, which is within the park. The Trailhead Staging Area is just north of this dead-end, where the Scenic Trail begins. I assume we are meeting there. This will be my first time also. There won't be many people around at 0745, so we should be able to find each other easily!

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
