Caribbean cuisine, served in a relaxed reggaecentric environment is manifested inside the doors of Calabash.
Calabash is a vegan-friendly restaurant that has created a special vegan menu for our group. Their dishes are served family-style around a table, where everyone shares from large bowls and platters helping to create a very warm, cosy and inviting candlelit dining room atmosphere.
The cost per person is $27 cash including tax and tip. This is actually a nicely discounted price (~$7 off) from for their group meals which they have kindly offered to our Meatless Meetup group. The amazing menu is as follows:
Channa Salad (Mixed greens, roasted chickpeas, eggplant, cucumbers, tomato tossed in a tamarind dressing)
Ital Stew (Root vegetables in a coconut milk based sauce, taste! Not on their regular menu but being prepared especially for us!)
Jerk Vegetables (Vegetables marinated in the chef's own jerk sauce)
Vegetable Curry (Marinated in a house-blended curry and slow cooked to perfection!)
Rice Pilaf, Carribean Style!
I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there!!
