This is a repeat performance at Tang's by popular request. Tang's Bistro is located in the old Tang's Noodle House, an institution in Kitsilano for a decade or two at Broadway and McDonald. The new Tang's Bistro is completely different with two large signs on the windows about vegan food, a completely vegan menu (in addition to their regular meat menu) and the use of separate woks and cooking implements for their vegan dishes. The food is Chinese fusion.
Menu ($25/ diner including tax and tip):
•Tofu Corn Soup
•Veggi gyoza trio (Homemade steamed dumplings with assorted vegetables fillings)
Mixed greens with papaya, sunflower seeds & coconut flakes.
•BBQ Lover (veggi skewer)
eggplant, mushroom, japanese purple yam, tofu pepper,
rosemary, tomato concasse, taro noodle in house sauce.
minced tofu, diced mushroom, chestnut, daikon, taro noodle
in mild spicy & black bean sauce with organic olive oil.
•Vitoria Wrap (steamed sueychop veggie, stuffed veggies ham, cucumber, yellow pepper, green onion , jicama with pineapple satay sauce)
•Asparagus Fried Rice Noodles
•Dessert (a surprise)
