Great social event. Thanks Nancy for organizing.

Food OK. Only two beers and both pretty much the same style. Given the family of restaurants, this was disappointing. Then again, this was about meeting people and having a good chin wag n a laugh, which we did.

I enjoyed the people I met, and it was great that we got up and changed tables half way through, so we could meet more than just the few people we dined with. Very noisy room! I found it hard to make conversation in that environment, very harsh and tinny sounding room. But I'm sensitive to that. My pot pie arrived cold, and staff were kind enough to warm it up for me. It was greatly improved with a little salt and pepper. Servers actually took really good care of me, remembered my name. But the "Mixed Greens" -- was it just me or was there nothing mixed with the kale? I wish I'd ordered the smashed potatoes, as it wasn't very much food. And no green beer. Not that I'd drink it anyway, but it's festive.

food was ok but not great. the service after initial order was poor. i had to go to the counter to request more water and it took another 1/2 hour before someone came to refill glass. I asked if we could have a pitcher of water at our table and was told they didn't have enough pitchers for that. St Patrick's atmosphere was missing - no costumes on the servers, not even a happy st patrick's day sign in sight. I was not feeling great so we left before the entertainment. Would have enjoyed that. Thanks for arranging the dinner so we could all get together for St Patrick's Day.

The company was great and that made the night. It was a great surprise to have a piper and then irish dancers - fun. The food was only OK. We were very disappointed that there were only 2 beers offered on tap. There was no follow up service after the initial drink offer and selection was made, I had hoped for another drink and maybe dessert. I could have sought out the server, but I was engrossed in conversation. The initial orders did arrive quickly. The restaurant did a great job of keeping track of everything and having patrons pay them directly.

Thanks for organizing this, Nancy. As others have said, great conversation and I met a lot of good people. And that's all you really need for a great evening. Once again, great job, Nancy (and any other organizers). Slainte!

There are many parking lots and some street parking in that area, but I would not bank on getting free parking. I'm taking a bus. If you google map the location and click on the bus icon you will see the bus stops quite close. I'll post if the pub answers my question about best places to park.

Check on the dressing for the salad as most caesar salad dressings contain anchovies.

    March 9, 2014

    • Nancy

That has already been discussed. It will be vegan.

I suppose they're going to make fries differently for this event..... As last time I went, the waitress told that they make fries in the same oil to fry fish...

    March 5, 2014

    • Nancy

Turns out our side options do not include the fries, likely for the reason you noted. I'm going for the kale salad, I think.

    • Lynne

Me too -the kale salad sounds wonderful.
