Jewish Veggie Kosher Dinner

Jewish cuisine has a long tradition of dishes that are vegan or almost vegan. Pareve (Yiddish for "neutral", also parve ) is a classification of food in kosher cuisine for edible substances that contain neither dairy nor meat ingredients.

This restaurant has amazingly delicious parve food! A number of the regular items are vegan. This will be our first time with this exact menu and so this listing is calling the adventurous foodies among our members.

Paypal accounts are NOT required to RSVP for this event, just a credit card.

Price $21 / diner including tax and tip.

Our all vegan menu:

• Potato Boureka

• Spinach Boureka

• Kubeh

• Veggie Shawarma (this is a marinated tofu vegan version of schwarma)

• Vegetarian Moussaka

What you see below are: top left--Moussaka, top right--schwarma, bottom left--boureka, bottom right--kubeh. (Pictures not taken from Sabra. Items may appear different at the event.)

Is Sabra Kosher Restaurant able to feed walk-in customers with vegan items on the menu? Or was this a special vegan menu for the Meatless Meetup that had altered menu items that are normally non-vegan?

Yes, they have numerous items for walk in vegan customers, such as the vegan schwarma.

I don't think this is about to (or ever) become my favorite food. I came to meatless meetup to get out to try different food that might help fight my diabetes. This will do it as there is little chance of me over eating. That alone is one of the big steps in taming diabetes, eating less. I used to say food was one of the few pleasures in my life. When I ate out it was always alone. Now I get to enjoy the company of the people instead of the food.

If you have a vegan meal, I would love to go! Needs to be without soy, soy sauce, tofu, or soya ingredients.

Thank you for checking Nancy. Did they supply an ingredient list?

As I said I doubled checked and then checked again and they said guaranteed vegan. I have had the schwarma many times and it has no dairy. I have not had the moussaka but they said it is vegan. Parve food contains neither dairy nor meat.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
