Vegan Sushi at The Eatery-30% off!

Not just sushi, you can order whatever you want. If you're new to Vancouver or don't venture out much on the West Side, you may yet to have had the experience that is The Eatery. Protected by intergalactic species, The Eatery is the funkiest place for sushi in Vancouver, boasting the largest selection of veggie sushi in town. We particularly like that The Eatery also has brown rice sushi--much tastier!

We've been offered a special discount 30% off on all vegan menu items for each of our diners, but you must be registered here to obtain it.

Here are some of the veggie sushi items on the menu (the menu features other vegan menu items in addition to sushi):

BUDDHA ROLL tempura yams, red pepper, asparagus and lettuce, with dragon sauce

BIG KAHUNA red pepper and avocado roll topped w/ shiitake and avocado

CUCUMBER WRAP yam tempura, lettuce, inari, carrots, red pepper, avocado, dragon sauce

MAGIC MUSHROOM grilled asparagus with shiitake mushrooms

MANGO PARADISE avocado, cucumber, mango, and inari

THE MOBY shiitake mushroom and kombu cooked in sweet soy sauce, avocado, sesame seeds

POPEYE ROLL spinach with peanut sauce

SPICY VEGGIE avocado, cucumber, asparagus, lettuce, and carrot with dragon sauce

THE SUNSHINE lettuce, mango, avocado, spinach goma ae, carrots rolled in a soy bean sheet

We ask that those sitting with our members not order dishes containing seafood or meat.

NB. The Eatery is not a quiet venue. Those bothered by loud music may not be comfortable.

Thanks Nancy and Anita for organizing... I like that we go to places I would never have thought of for myself. I'm glad you warned us about the loud music. It was too noisy for me, but the service was friendly and excellent. Disappointment with some vegan menu items which were on our meetup menu but servers explained had been marked "V" by mistake - and for that reason did not qualify for the 30% discount. Our table was rushed out at 20:15 to make way for "a reservation". Personally I had finished eating and was ready to leave, but others at our table were not. The strong invitation to finish up, considering we too had a reservation, made us feel uncomfortable.

I had no idea that happened. Our table stayed quite late. Yes, all the tempura items were marked vegan and are not. I tried to pass on word about that. Apparently, they plan to fix that on their next menu.

Surprisingly good service, considering how busy the place is. Good conversation and lots of fun food. Could be livelier! (Just kidding).

Delicious food, great company and conversation, most charming owner. Loud music is the only thing that detracts, but with the ever-present lineups they have to do something to ensure we don't stay forever. And we would. You know we would.

Tasty sushi, lovely company--very enjoyable, despite straining to hear folks over the cacophony!

I concur. Bottom line, restaurants make more money when the music is too loud to talk.

I would love to try this restaurant and this would be my first time with this group. Is there anyone I can ride with? I'm at Broadway and Renfrew.

You need to RSVP Yes if you want to attend and let me know if you plan to be late. Be sure to call Alan, rather than posting to him here, as he may not read it.

We go to The Eatery at least once a year. If over 50 people sign up, we can go more often.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
