How did you hear about this group?

via Earthsave

What's your favourite vegetarian restaurant in Greater Vancouver?

No fav. but I'm really enjoying the raw restaurants Organic Lives and Gorilla Foods. I used to love the buffets, but I'm getting to be more of a quality over quantity kind of person now, although I do still eat a lot.

What's your favourite non-veg restaurant that has veg options?

Um... Well, that's a tough one as I live in a dead-zone as far as restaurants that serve any kind of good food, veg or not. I guess Hon's would be one, if you like Chinese cafeteria fast food, which I do from time to time. Update: there's Chomp vegan eatery now, in PoMo. Home-cooked kind of food.

WHICH diet do you follow: vegetarian, vegan, pescaterian (fish but no meat), flexitarian (usually veg, but not always), raw foodist or omnivore?

I say "vegan", but really I'm just trying to be as natural a human as I can in this modern world. Changed my diet/lifestyle in my late teens.

Are you also a member of Earthsave Canada (, the charity that promotes the plant based diet?

Yes I've been involved with Earthsave since the early 90s; was out-of-the-loop for a few years; decided to get re-involved and back into he veg social scene in 2009, and I'm glad I did -- I've met so many great new people and reconnected with others.

Grew up in Coquitlam. Was a fantastic place to grow up. Forests all around, lakes near by... spent lots of time outdoors. A couple of the things I like to do are road cycling and badminton.
