Ex-monk, ex-computer doctor, and currently meditation teacher in search of the best vegan cheesecake. I'm super passionate about the joys of a plant-based diet.
From a Taste of Health flyer posted on a Choices bulletin board several years ago.
Hands down it's Indigo Food Cafe (www.indigofood.org) in Kitsilano. I take all my friends there and enjoy the responses that I get from the presentation, the creativeness, the tastes and textures, and the energy that comes from potent, raw food.
Mostly raw food vegan with a focus on nutrient density. The book "Becoming Raw" by nutritional researcher Vesanto Melina was key for me.
The people are friendly, the food is all about new tastes and textures, and you get to discover more of the city while filling your belly.
Hi Michael, very nice to meet you last week. And thank you so much for the restaurant recommendations. I will make sure to try them out!
Michael I finally tried a Persimmon and you are right - they are great! Look forward to seeing you at future meetups!
Michael, We don't have anyone ready to host it. Hmmm... Benny
