Before I go ahead and list this event, I wanted to gauge interest in it because it is not cheap and we need to get a minimum of 12 people to get this deeply discounted price.
This is a vegan lunch of foods foraged from the forest and prepared by local gourmet chefs. Following the lunch there is an almost 2 hour tour through the forest to learn to identify edible mushrooms you can forage yourself.
Here is the tentative lunch menu:
Homemade kamut flour bread, wild mushroom pate, roasted organic hazelnuts, fresh fruit in season and the tea is wild foraged for arbutus bark tea with wildflower honey... a lot of wild:) [honey is optional!]
The event is expensive because we are booking the nature house for the lunch and there is the cost of the foraging time to find the food for the lunch and for the chefs to prepare it and for the tour guide to give us the mushroom tour and lesson. It takes place on the North Shore, starts about 11 am and ends at 3:30pm.
The total cost is $46.50 and includes tax and tip.
We are looking at Sunday, October 9th for the date. Please email me if you want me to run this event and think you would probably sign up for it. This is not a commitment to attend, but your best guess that you would attend. If I don't get the minimum number of people interested, I will not list the event.
Thanks for letting me know,
