New Meetup: Readers Group Dinner at Nuba Restaurant

Announcing a new Meetup for Vancouver Meatless Meetup!

What: Readers Group Dinner at Nuba Restaurant

When: November 27,[masked]:00 PM

Price: approximately CAD17.00 per person (depending on the amount of food we order)

Nuba Restaurant
207-B West Hastings (at Cambie)
Vancouver, BC V6B 1H7

Please join us for a delicious meal at the Lebanese Restaurant "Nuba" (located at the northeast corner of Cambie and Hastings), while we meet, eat, socialize, and, discuss Ingrid Newkirk's new book "One Can Make a Difference: How Simple Actions Can Change the World." (note: having read the book is not a requirement of attending the meeting - it's only one part of our get together -, but the discussion about the book topics are sure to be interesting for all those involved)

Nuba is an Earthsave favourite and offers a tantalizing array of tasty foods. I can personally recommend the hummous, baba ganooj, najib's special (crispy cauliflower), mjadra (green lentils), falafel and eggplant stew. We will order our own meals from the menu or several dishes to share, and as Nuba is part of Earthsave's Member Discount Program, we will get a 10% discount off our orders for all vegetarian food! You can visit this page to see Nuba's full dinner menu: According to the food we order, the prices will vary, but I'm estimating about $16-$17/person should do it.

Please note that the restaurant is situated right on the northeast corner of East Hastings at Cambie Street, below street level. It's a brand new location for the restaurant group and has been beautifully renovated and decorated upon opening earlier this year. Very nice atmosphere!

For those interested, here is some information on the book:

Looking forward to seeing you there!
