Guess Win 8.1 doesn't follow the pattern - tried your directions and email and notifications is not part of it.

Oh boy. 8.1 is a confusing operating system (in my humble opinion). If anyone has a smart phone at the next meet up, they can probably change to notifications for you.

It should work Jill. I am using 8.1 and that was where I pulled the steps from.

Computers are my concern at moment - why not get a web site for personal message and the fun you want to have? Otherwise you are going to have people missing the activities as they will be deleting everything having to do with this site -

Jill, Up at the top of the page you will see a small picture of you with a down arrow. Left click it and a box will open up where you will see settings on the right side. Left click settings. Another page will open and on the left side you will see a blue box. Left click "Email and notifications." You will see all meetup groups you have joined. Go to Medina Social Meetup and on the right of the name you left click "Email and notification settings." Here you will see boxes that have check marks for all the notifications you are receiving. Un-check "comments on a Meetup I'm going to." Good Luck! :-)

Thanks John. This is good to know! :-)
1 · September 21, 2014
Hey John, for what it's worth, I love all of the back and forth bantering! We all need a little excitement in our lives!
3 · September 22, 2014
Dumb me - misunderstood - found it
Kathy, a little excitement or a lot of excitement? :-)
2 · September 24, 2014
Would you be kind enough to give us the directions to shut these off please - some of us are just not that smart - and we do need our computers for other things.

Jill on my phone it is in the settings. There is a box to check about notifications going to email. It should be similar on the computer.
It will almost be my birthday (or the anniversary of my birth) - we can almost celebrate! :-)
4 · August 9, 2014
Seriously Tamara? I didn't realize we almost share the same birthday! That's awesome! What is up with the birth anniversary thing?
1 · September 16, 2014
You Seem To Have A Lot Of birthdays, Almost Birthdays And Anniversaries Of birth!
Sorry about the capitalization; my phone is possessed! LOL!

Merely observing a coincidence while also implying it is suspicious. Looks like the phone demon got your phone too. Hee hee
Did you know all this conversation goes on everyones email who has signed up for this group?
1 · September 18, 2014
Yes Jill we do. You can turn it off in your settings. :-) AS conversations go, this one is tame. There have been some that have over 100 replies. I don't get email notifications except for when a new meetup is announced. That way all these annoying people don't fill up my inbox. ;-)
2 · September 18, 2014
LOL! My settings are the same as John's. Look another thing we have in common!
Katie, That's Fantastic!
You, me and John H. - well maybe not John. I think he just likes the attention! :-)
We all have the same birthday? Awesome!!! Party Time!!!
3 · September 18, 2014
