I'm a long time practitioner and happy to be part of such a wonderful community.
I practice as much as possible - at home on the cushion, waiting in traffic, walking the dog, whenever I catch myself reacting to something big or small... in the midst of chaos and when its really, really quiet.
community connections, group practice, retreats - short ones and long ones, crisp, no nonsense teaching, sharing with others on the path
There is more joy available than I ever imagined.

hi liana- no i didn't become part of the shambhala community until 98. thanks for getting back to me and reaching out to invite me to your sangha. I really appreciate it. how much of shambhala training have you done?
hi liana- sorry that i wasn't able to make the group tonight. I was looking forward to it, but my wife surprised me with plans that she already made for tonight. So, i'll practce at home and hopefully see you next week. let me know how the group went. best wishes
Hi Liana! Congrats on your new Meetup Group! I work at Meetup, so feel free to drop me a line if there's anything I can help you with.
You should also check out our Help center when you get a chance. It's a great place to start with any questions you might have: http://www.meetup.com/help/![]()
.
Another great resource is the Organizers' Forum, where I am a moderator. Pop by and say hello! http://www.meetup.com/boards/forum/20...![]()
Take care! :)
lisa- i would like to have a shambhala/ insight meditation group in denver on mondays. that is right up my alley. i have done shambhala training up to meek and perky; studied with Noah leviine several times, followed jack and sharon's teachings regrading the brahama vihara practices. on my own have studied mahamudra, but haven't done that in a group setting yet. But, 6:30 sittng practice - that most groups have- doesn't work for me. so a 7:30 group is awesome.
