Be Part of a Worldwide Wave of Tai Chi in Kansas City April 26th

How would you like to enjoy a FREE Tai Chi lesson, so that you can then be part of a historic worldwide wave of Tai Chi spreading through over 80 nations on the last Saturday of April? You do NOT need to know Tai Chi to join in this fun event.

This global phenomenon started in Kansas City a decade and a half ago, and was picked up by international media and captured the world's imagination to have now expanded to hundreds of event being held in over 80 nations on the last Saturday of April.

What a way to spend a Saturday morning, doing Tai Chi with the entire planet, and then having a cup of tea at the Nelson-Atkins Museum, and maybe checking out one of the finest Asian art exhibits outside of China.

At 9:30 we'll give a free short lesson in a short Tai Chi form, so that by 10 am when the worldwide wave rolls through our Central time zone, we'll join that wave by doing a mass Tai Chi movement together here in KC to add to the worldwide wave of Qi, or life energy circling the planet on that day.

World Tai Chi & Qigong Day involves such mass Tai Chi and Qigong teach-ins and exhibitions beginning in the earliest time zones of New Zealand, then spreading time zone by time zone as the planet turns with events across Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe, North and South America, and ending with the final events in Kauai, Hawaii.

See below videos of past events worldwide, and then get prepared to attend at the Nelson-Atkins Museum at 9:30 am on Saturday, April 26th, on the south lawn. TELL YOU FRIENDS TO COME AND PLAY. YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT TIME.

Often several Tai Chi groups show up, and you can see various styles performed following the mass participatory short form you can learn and do with us.

The motto of this world event is: "One World ... One Breath."

Last year BBC Television covered World Tai Chi Day events held all across Latin America and the world (remember this event was started here in KC).

Tai Chi Flashmobs (calming the rat race) are often part of this global event. See this BEAUTIFUL one held at Central Station in Antwerp, Belgium last year.
