Welcome to the Buddhist Meditation on Main St Meetup !
The meditation technique is simple and very good for both beginners and those with some previous experience of meditation. Each class gives an introduction to Buddhist calm-abiding meditation to develop a clear and peaceful state of mind.
Through this practice we develop awareness of our thoughts, develop a calmness and concentration, creating a relaxed and aware state of mind.
Classes are hosted by experienced meditators at the Shiatsu School of California, just near Yogaworks and Urth Cafe on Main St. We are from the Sakya School of Tibetan Buddhism, a traditional lineage of Buddhist teachings founded in Tibet in the 11th Century.
