From time to time in our lives, all of us struggle with physical or mental pain, or we watch a loved one experiencing problems.  Often times, we feel as if we cannot help ourselves or others in their struggles.  In Buddhist teachings, the profound, ancient meditation known as “taking and giving” provides us with a way of healing ourselves and gaining the power to heal others.

During this class series, Gen Nyema will explain how to begin and make progress with the taking and giving meditations.  Not only will students learn how to engage in the formal meditation of taking and giving, they will also learn how to apply taking and giving in the midst of busy daily life.  Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary.  Drop in for any class.

Class Format

Every class will begin with a brief introduction, followed by a guided breathing meditation and the Liberating Prayer. After meditation, there will be a short teaching and time for Q&A. Class will end with Prayers for World Peace.
