Relax, Refresh, Renew: A One-Day Meditation Retreat

Saturday, March 16;  10:00am – 3:00pm $20 or $10 students/seniors (Discounts for Monthly Members)

 

Training our mind in meditation is one of the best ways to relax, reduce stress, and enjoy a deep inner stillness and peace.  We can learn to carry the inner peace we gain in meditation into our daily life, no matter how busy we are.  By following practical, down-to-earth meditation instructions, everyone can benefit from learning to meditate.

During this one-day meditation retreat, students will be introduced to basic breathing meditation practices and practical tips for staying relaxed in daily life that they will be able to bring home with them and integrate into their everyday activities.

This short meditation retreat is perfect for beginners, including those with no experience with meditation whatsoever.  Each meditation will be guided and relatively short, not lasting longer than 25 minutes.  The rest of each session will include meditation instruction and time for Q&A.

This one-day retreat is also a perfect preparation for our three-day “Clear Sky Mind” meditation retreat at Oconee State Park in June.  More details about this retreat will be available by March.

 

Retreat Schedule

 

10am – 11:30am:  Session 1

11:30am – 12:45pm:  Lunch Break

12:45pm – 1:45pm:  Session 2

1:45pm – 2pm:  Break

2pm – 3pm:  Session 3
