    Anyone else here?

    January 11, 2014

    • Angela H.

I walked in and panicked when I saw how many people there were in here. Of course I figured as much when I couldn't find a parking place. Ok, I've been here for like a half hour and don't see a group to squeeze into...it's just so packed. And I'm too shy to try to squeeze in >.<
      I'm gonna leave.

My phone # is posted on all events that I host. Feel free to text or call me next time.

Angela - I'm sorry you panicked! We were right there and I kept looking for you! By that I mean I asked other women if their name was Angela, and yes it was quite crowded! I believe it ended up to be about (3) tables of us and tons of games!! Also Angela you can park in back!! So did you end up driving yourself? Don't give up Honey, try again!! Email me through meetup if you want, perhaps I can pick you up next time, or next event!!

    January 12, 2014

    • Angela H.

No I didn't drive myself. I'm glad I didn't though. I would have taken one look in that building and ran if I was alone. I'm such a coward for crowds lol. It was probably for the best anyway. I forced myself to go even though I had a lot of back pain and my head was killing me.

Well Angela all I can say is just keep trying!!

      January 12, 2014

FUN - I LEARNED HOW TO FIGHT ZOMBIES, WHICH CAN BE VERY USEFUL!!

It involves a lot of confusion, not knowing what is going on and waiting.

      January 12, 2014

Conner and Wade - Yes the event happened and there were many of us there!!! Also a TON of games!!!

So the event is happening but it's really crowded?

  • Darla

I had something come up at the last minute, so if I do come, I may be later than 6.

    January 11, 2014

  • Angela H.

...I just realized I have no clue what board game we are playing.

    January 10, 2014

    • Stephanie L.

There is usually a good variety of games to choose from. It depends what people bring.

      January 10, 2014

    • Angela H.

      Ok thanks!

      January 10, 2014

  • marilyn b.

Jerry she did not say anything about hosting! Reread what I wrote and what Angela said! Plus are you saying that there are no changes??

    December 24, 2013

    • Gerrardo

Yes, you are correct. You can put a cat in a microwave, but you won't get a biscuit.

I don't know what that smart aleck remark means!!!

Hey, do you guys plan on having another anime night? I missed the first one but I'd love to talk anime with people that have actually seen some.

Soon, soon... Lilac, who hosted the afternoon Dr Who viewing, will be hosting viewings when she returns from her holiday travels.

My point was by limiting the location to just one place, you miss out on other places that are just as good or better. I don't live on the east side & the Park Place meet ups at the game daze there is considerably out of the way for me, but I still make it to those. The shops around the mall close around 9:00 pm, but the mall itself and the rooms stay open until past midnight. If a central location with plenty of table space and late hours is the only concern, you might as well do this at the game room in the student union at the U of A. An even more central location with more parking during the weekends.

    • Gerrardo

I see : ) AudRick whenever you would like to host a game night at another location, just place it on the suggest event and I'll approve it for you.

Jerry did you get my email to you regarding opening my home for these functions?? I have not heard from you to date!!

      January 1, 2014

  • marilyn b.

Well since I have been making comments, I think I should show up and try to clarify what I was attempting to say!! Thanks!! And to Angela, you have nothing to be sorry about! Looking forward to meeting you!

    December 26, 2013

    • Angela H.

You too. It can be hard to read emotion through a message. I'll see you there then!

      January 1, 2014

  • Dov-Baer M.

Sorry, i will not be able to make it on the 11th. I go to all the second Saturdays with my family. Next time though. I can't wait to play again.

    January 1, 2014

  • Heather

Don't know yet whether I'll be scheduled to work on the 11th, but I'll try to make it to this one.

    December 31, 2013

  • Dov-Baer M.

I'm not sure I'll be able to make it but it sounds like a lot of fun so I will definitely try!

If the location is moved to the Tucson mall, then the meetup will be less centralized. The people on the east side would have even further to to travel. Plus the mall isn't open as late as a coffee shop venue is. Having later hours allows more flexibility for people to come if the have responsibilities such as work.

    1 · December 20, 2013

    • Gerrardo

Marilyn, that is not true. This is a very flexible and great group and if there is anything that someone would like, we do allow them to host it.

      December 24, 2013

    • Angela H.

I'm sorry, Marilyn, I didn't mean to be pushy. I was just stating it was far for me either way. Though Tucson Mall is closer to me. I realize that catering to one person would be ridiculous. This will be my first meetup ever, so someone's coming with me since I know my body can't handle driving that far. As a passenger I can handle it ok. :)

      December 26, 2013

  • Darla

I don't mind Cartel, but with the low lighting it makes it difficult to read the directions/cards. Marilyn, sorry you had a bad experience.

    December 24, 2013

  • marilyn b.

I agree also but I think AudRick's point is to find a less NOISY place that would meet our needs all the way around!!

    December 21, 2013

  • AudRicK

Hi Jerry. Any chance at another location? There is a Game Daze at the Tucson Mall. Maybe they could let us use one of their conference rooms, like the Game Daze guys at Park Place? The people who live NW of town won't have to go so far.

    December 19, 2013

    • marilyn b.

AudRick - Sure like your comment and response and idea!!

      1 · December 20, 2013

  • marilyn b.

Not fun for me!! Last time I went there was someone there who has given me a hard time before and did again at this event!! Therefore I will not be attending any more board games!! Also, Cartel is a POOR VENUE due to a LOT of background noise!!

This is more of a 'maybe' - I'd love to join you but I'm sort of located in the great northwest wilds of Tucson.
