North County Work Group

  • Jan 2, 2013 · 6:00 PM

NOTE: Changing the timing to once every two weeks!!! Might be easier to commit to with less times available, less pressure.

We are revamping the way this works.

So, one of the requests made to Meet.Write is that some people want a little more structure. Getting together at the same time in the same place to write is fun, meeting once a month for happy hour is fun, but some people want to get more into the nuts and bolts of writing. What works for you, what works for me, how would you tackle this or that? It's not a question of putting anyone in the spotlight and making them feel uncomfortable. It's talking about writing process. Are you looking for your big idea? Do you have your idea and no idea where to start? Do you have a start but aren't sure how to bring your tale to completion? There's already a very nice group for people who have finished novels they're revising for sale. This meeting should be for people who aren't even close to that yet. We're all amateurs here.

That's what I'm looking to provide here, a place to meet, have some coffee and talk shop.

Hi, Please notify me about your next north county writers' work group, I think you have my email. I enjoyed meeting with a writers' group years ago and look foward to maybe getting back into one on a regular basis. Sorry I missed your recent one by a day! Thanks

I haven't written in a very long time. I am a much happier camper when I have a regular writing practice. I WILL start writing regularly in 2013. It would be wonderful to have the support of a group for encouragement.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
