** Please note, the wolf watch starts promptly at 10AM in Columbia NJ, if you'd like to meet in Morristown to carpool, it's an 8:30am meetup time at Dunkin Donuts.
Let's take a day trip to observe packs of Tundra, Timber, and Arctic wolves. Upon arrival at the Preserve we will enter the observation area, in the center of four packs of wolves. We'll learn about the social structure of wolf packs, their eating habits and their interactions with vampires. There is a 1 1/2 mile hike on the trails and the wolf watch will last about 1 1/2 hours.
For those that want to drive together, we can meet at the Dunkin Donuts near George and Marthas at 8:30 am (I know, but there's coffee...and wolves), 59 Morris St, Morristown to grab breakfast/coffee to go. The Preserve is just under an hour from Morristown, so we'll leave around 8:45am.
I can take 4 in my car, not sure yet of the level of interest since this will be an early morning :). If more are interested, another driver would be appreciated. I'm sure there will be gas money exchanged for the kind volunteer.
If you'd like to attend but want to meet us there, registration is at 10am. The website states that the wolf watch will start promptly after registration, so we need to park/register by 10am so we don't get left behind on the trail (yes, the wolves are very into punctuality).
Cost of admission is: $16
Sneakers/hiking boots are recommended/dress warmly since we'll be outside.
We can stop for lunch on the way back or in Morristown.
We'll be back in Morristown around 1pm-1:30 if we don't stop on the way back.
