MAS Member Event - Watch Trent's Workflow (Revisited)

While the Watch Trent's Workflow shot on 03/12/2014 was pretty great, I personally wasn't happy with the audio recording for the live stream.  We are working it out and I want to redo this event in early April.  While some of the idea is going to be the same something different here is I'm going to actually shoot for a theme (to be announced what it is soon).

RSVP for online and in person.  In person people will be treated to some fun stuff!

Requested by several members, and potentially a fun unique experience. Watch as Trent, one of the admins for meet and shoot, setup a basic portraiture session, direct the model, adjust lighting, photograph, and do post processing and post to the web all in one quick session. Ask questions along the way and check out from start to finish a basic Trent Chau shoot. Check out Trent's work here for an idea of what to expect:

Members only! (Pay your $25!) Please tip the model if you can so he/she makes a little gas money to get home :)

This will be available for streaming to watch, you must be in attendance to ask questions.

If you are planning on watching the stream please RSVP still.  It helps us for logistics.

You have to be a MAS member to get the live stream link, and it will only be sent to people who REQUEST it in comments below.

I watched on line the first time and I'm so glad I went in person last night. I'm sorry I had to leave early though! On a higher level I learned about how to go about meeting my need in post processing as well as general model interaction and lighting set up. I can't speak for the more experienced people in attendance although I'm sure they got something out of it - But it was fabulous for a beginner. I only wish that I'd brought my camera (Sounds ridiculous, huh?). I'd thought that we were ONLY taking notes or watching.

Believe me, i thought the same thing about the camera. I just so happen to keep my camera in the car sometines (for just in case moments). When he said that it'd be a photo-op, i lit up!! lol

I cyber-attended last night, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. I really wasn't sure what to expect, having viewed similar things in the past, for other subjects, and been more or less disappointed. It's kind of tough to juggle... people physically present, camera, lights, computer, the model, bugs, and let's try not to forget about the people online. On top of that, you really hope that people learn something useful by the end of the night. I did. I actually learned quite a bit. It was great to see the lights being set up, the resulting pictures, the insight as to why or why not to do something, and all the little side tips along the way. Although not seamless, you guys did a pretty darn good job of switching back and forth between the studio and lightroom. I think there was only one brief moment when I wish I could have seen something other than I was looking at. Thank you Trent, Jessica, Patrick, and Jamie! I look forward to the next broadcast!

I can definitely say that I came away from this event with a ton of knowledge and a change of perspective. My expectations were definitely exceeded for my first event and I look forward to the next one! Thanks Trent!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
