Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues

It's a tradition!  We've done it for years, and it's always been a fun event.  We'll have dinner at East Moon and then drive to the other side of the highway to the AMC Westminster Promenade 24 for the 8:05PM showing of the movie.  The theater is packed on Christmas, and that makes it feel like a true event rather than just a movie.  After the movie we will walk a short distance to Bar Louie for drinks, desserts, and discussions.

Feel free to join us only for dinner!  If you can only join us for the movie please let me know in your RSVP or comments so I don't reserve a seat for you at East Moon.  If you're only joining us for the movie it would be easiest for you to meet us at East Moon rather than the theater.  We'll leave the restaurant at about 6:30PM.

You'll probably enjoy this comedy more if you've seen the first movie, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.  It's not required, though, and the movie should be funny on its own even if you don't know the characters.

Synopsis: With the 70s behind him, San Diego's top rated newsman, Ron Burgundy, returns to take New York's first 24-hour news channel by storm.

Best comedy in years! I laughed so hard through the whole thing. I want an entire movie with Brick Tamland. But, like they said in ancient times, "no."

Agreed! That was hilarious. Yasser Arafat and I want to see the car chase again. Why do we have to show news people need to hear? Why not show news that people want to hear?

Dinner with the family is going to start a little later than anticipated. I'll still try to meet up with you guys at the theatre or Bar Louie. If not, hopefully next time. Thanks, Monica.

Hey, I'll only be joining you guys for the film and possibly Bar Louie afterwards. I can meet you in the main lobby at AMC, if that works. Thanks!

Hey Mike, thanks for letting us know, that's totally fine. We should be leaving the restaurant at about 6:30 or 6:45, so we should be to the theater at 7PM or so. Look for us in the theater in line. We'll be a bigger group all talking to each other in line. It's easiest to find us at the restaurant so you can meet everyone, though. See you there!

On December 25 I see no show time for Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. So are we going on another night like Tuesday?

    December 19, 2013

    • Monica

They wouldn't have all of the movie times up this early, anyway. It will be playing. I'll let you know when I know the time.

I'm not sure how late I have my daughter on this day, but I hope to make it. If not I will cancel closer to the date. Merry Christmas!
