The Monuments Men

This is an experiment, so please read this description carefully. The AMC theater at the Flatiron Crossing mall has changed.  They have big recliners instead of regular seats, and most theaters only hold about 49 people.  ALL SEATS ARE RESERVED! The show will probably be sold out by the time we get there, so you will want to buy tickets ahead of time.  Just buy whatever seat you want, and hopefully you'll sit near the group.

We'll meet at Gordon Biersch for dinner first and then walk across the sidewalk to the AMC Flatiron Crossing 14 theater for the 7:25PM showing of the movie.  After the movie we'll head back to Gordon Biersch for drinks, desserts, and discussions.

Remember, you need to buy your ticket and reserve your own seat.  Let us know in your comments where your seats will be.

Synopsis: An unlikely World War II platoon are tasked to rescue art masterpieces from Nazi thieves and return them to their owners.

Be sure to check out the About page so you know what to expect -- if you have a "yes" RSVP then you are agreeing to the rules on that page. Let me know in your RSVP if you won't be joining us for dinner so we don't reserve a seat for you. See you soon!

It was great fun, even with the slow restaurant service. Thanks for setting it up, Monica.

I had a good time all the way around. I have often had to wait for food, especially in large groups so it was no big deal for me. I look forward to the next time.

I think our experiment went well! Dinner was a train wreck but it all worked itself out in the end. I had a great night!

We've had Saturday night dinners at Gordon Biersch many, many times and it's never gone like that. Last night was a fluke, hopefully. We've actually filled that room before without any issues.

Well, it is good to know that was a fluke--not the norm.

A little too close to the screen, but was able to get C6

Tania, in this theater it's probably better to be too close than too far from the screen. You'll need to try it to see what you think.

Should have looked here first to see what seats people were reserving - I went with B11!

      HAHA like they care!

By the way, the recliners lay all the way back so you won't get a stiff neck in the front. The screen will just be really, really big.

    Monica,
I just looked to buy my ticket. I see showtimes for Westminster Promenade but not Flatirons. Unless it changes tomorrow, I don't think this theater is showing this movie.

We don't know the movie times yet. When I know I'll let everyone know. Promise.

I got E8. Looks like that is closer that the C section. But, this is my first time to this theater, and I wanted to be next to at least one Meet Up member

I can't join you, but I want to recommend to everyone to rent The Rape of Europa and watch it before you see this movie. It puts things in perspective for that time period and what the Nazis did. Very important.

Glad to be a part of the group. I'm out of town on the 8th but look forward to catching the next movie!
