Atheists at First Friday Pub Evening

Hello Fellow Atheists,

    A new year, a new home and new challenges.

This event is open to all Atheists.

Please join with fellow Atheists at the pub for drinks, informal conversation and fun.
If you can't make it by 6pm, don't worry - we'll be there for a good 3 hours or more (sometimes to midnight), so turn up whenever you can make it.
You can always ring 0438 043 050 to see how we are going.

Children are welcome.

Time:
From 6:00 pm, First Friday, of every month including January.

Meals are 4 to 10pm.
It is worthwhile to get there before 6pm.
- Between 4 and 6pm, the meals are 2 for the price of one.
- Also before 6pm, jugs of cider or Boags are $10.
A good range of beer.

Venue:
The Edinburgh Castle in Melbourne's inner north where Islam is making it's presence known.
681 Sydney Road cnr Albion St.
Brunswick
Melways 29 H5.
In good weather we can use the big beer garden or a separate room.


Transport:
Tram 19 (maybe others) from Elizabeth Street (past Melbourne University).
To Tram Stop 26.
Anstey train station is just along Albion Street.
There is a car park in Albion St

Andrew and others will be wearing Atheist t-shirts or windcheaters.
There are usually more than 30 of us by 7pm.

I am often asked if there is an agenda.
This is a social evening therefore there is no agenda or speeches (apart from some short announcements at 8pm) but if you have any issues to talk about or questions to ask then please bring them along as I am interested.
I will try to get around to speak to everyone.

Sometimes there will be a group of Atheists taking the opportunity to have a more serious discussion - you can either join them or continue socialising.
