This group is currently full but you are welcome to join the waiting list.  We keep numbers low to ensure that everyone can participate in the discussions. We do periodically remove inactive members, & add members from the waiting list in the order which members have requested to join.  (Mar 15: Update current waiting list time is expected to be more than 3 months - lots of requests to join over Dec and Jan)

A book club for those who are interested in reading and discussing the classics. Just to be able to have a chat over a coffee or a drink, and discuss, laugh, question and think about the stories and characters.

We meet on the last Thursday of each month (there is no January meetup) at an Inner City venue. There is normally food available for those who would like to have some dinner after our discussion. Alternatively you're more than welcome to just come and discuss the book over a drink or coffee.

Hope to see you there.

Please remember to change your RSVP from 'Yes' to 'No', prior to the meeting, if you are unable to attend. It is totally inappropriate to book for an event and simply not turn up. It is fully understandable that your circumstances can change at the last minute; however every effort should be made to change your booking. If you are a late cancellation, you can even call the venue and they will pass on your message. The venue phone number is posted for every meetup.

Inactive members will be removed from the group. These include members who joined more than 5 months ago, have not looked at the group's meetup site in more than 5 months and have never attended a meetup. Please feel to join again if you are interested in participating in the group.

We're delighted to welcome new members to our group but keep the group small to allow everyone to attend.  Once your membership is accepted, we'll ask you to
1. Reply within 2 weeks to acknowledge that you'd still like to be a member
2. Attend one of the next three scheduled meetups
This means that we keep membership spots for people who'd actually like to attend.
