An afternoon with Shang Rinpoche

Hear words of real wisdom from a Buddhist master. Shang Rinpoche will visit Australia for the first time in about 15 years, and will give advice on how to live well in these modern times. Rinpoche's advice is from the heart and draws on depths of knowledge covering all schools of Buddhism. He is considered a spiritual giant in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

Rinpoche is an authenticated master (lineage holder) in two major Buddhist schools (Tibetan and Chan/Chinese Zen) as well as having encyclopaedic knowledge on many Taoist practices.

This public event will not only be a chance to listen, but to engage with Rinpoche as we will hand the mics over to the audience for a q&a at the end of the talk.

To speak to a master of this calibre is a rare treat, and seats are limited. Rinpoche will happily answer questions from those just curious, to those who have been on the path for some time.

Cost is free or by contribution on the day if you wish.

**For those who came to the qigong classes, I will hold more around this time, and also this talk is a great way to get direct insight into the spiritual and health values of such exercises.

A quick message, we will have a qigong manual, a 100 page meditation book, and two books of wisdom teachings on the day. If you are planning on going, please register at or email [masked]

I am very sorry to announce that we had to postpone this event until November. The qigong will still go head, as will a meditation workshop. We will be in town that week and have a stall at the Mind Body Spirit festival at the trade centre and will be selling high quality Taiwanese tea at 2/3s of the cost as we are getting it almost direct from the source. If you want some tea outside of the festival or meditation workshop, let me know and we can arrange to meet.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
