Hi Woofers

We had one of the biggest turnouts ever for our last meetup in Caulfield Park which was combined with the free outdoor music concert at the Bandstand!  So in November... we are going back for more!

The meetup will start at 1.30pm with an off-leash frolic for our four-legged friends in Caulfield Park.  We will meet in the Park near the intersection of Inkerman Rd and Normanby Avenue.  Then, for all those interested, we will wander over to the 'Caulfield Park Bandstand' to hear some free outdoor music.

The concerts are organised by Friends of Caulfield Park.  The music starts at 2pm.

The concert on 10 November includes performances by the Glen Eira Band (traditional brass band), and the Bayside Singers (a capella ranging from classical to show tunes).

It also coincides with Glen Eira Artists Society annual 'Paint in the Park Day'.  There are free art and craft activities for children.

It is a great community activity, and everyone is welcome (with dogs or not), to listen to the music in a lovely outdoor setting.  Please note:  dogs must be ON LEASH at all times around the bandstand, as there are lots of kids and art and craft activities going on.

Bring the usual things for your dog (leash, poo bags, water) and, if you are coming to the concert, a rug and picnic nibbles are the way to go.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Cheers

Kate and Harry

A smaller and more intimate gathering this time made it really cosy under the trees listening to the band. It is a great combination, music and dogs!

Dogs enjoyed a sociable afternoon, people enjoyed catching up and hearing the brass band! Teddy Bear's Picnic and YMCA were highlights!

Hi all, I am very sad to say that Molly passed away on Tuesday after a short battle with cancer. It was quite a sudden discovery, and we are still in shock over her passing. I wanted to let you all know, as Molly and I have attended many MDW events and we have always had a wonderful time.
Thanks to everyone (dogs and humans alike) who have welcomed Molly and I at the various events- Molly loved attending meetups, especially the previous Dogs and Music meetup where she got to play with fellow black lab Val.
Thanks again, and a big dog hug to all of Molly's friends x

Hi Rhiannon, I'm really sorry to hear about the passing of your little friend. I am sure that you have many lovely memories of Molly and that she had a fabulous life with you.

Dear Rhiannon, I wrote to you yesterday but notice it hasn't come through. I was writing to say how sad it was to read about your lovely Molly. Val will miss her older teacher and playmate. They both had a great time last time they met at Caulfield Park and it will not be the same without her. Also thank you and your family for making me and Val so welcome. Hope we will see you when you are ready as Val would like to give you an extra woof and lick. Take care my friend and we are thinking of you.

Hi Woo, we will all meet at the corner of Inkerman Rd and Normanby Ave for a walk before the concert. If you come late, we will be a group of people with dogs on leads sitting to the side of the Bandstand. Cheers, Kate

this is our first event and we are exciting to meet everyone. Ari, is a bit fearful but we are working on her - she barks a bit - I apologize in advance :)
We've been taking her to a local dog park and she has been coming right along.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
