Watch "Project Happiness" documentary

  • Jul 10, 2012 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

It is a feature length documentary film that follows a senior high school class from California on a journey to discover the true nature of human happiness.

Joining them on this quest are students from Tibetan Children’s Village in India and students from Nigeria. The teens engage in conversations with the Dalai Lama, George Lucas, Richard Gere and ground-breaking neuroscientest Richard Davidson. For more information check out the trailer:

There is a $10 charge to attend the meetup, this goes towards covering costs and any surplus made is donated to charity. This is optional if you are going through financial hardship.

As usual, there will be tea; coffee and nibbles provided and an opportunity after the movie to mingle.

HAPPY one year anniversary from the commitment you made in starting your amazing 'Melbourne Happiness Group'. You've helped many people feel better about themselves thru your great presentations, preparation, passion and hard work. It's appreciated - especially the tea/coffee and nibbles towards the end of each night. :) Good job.

The film was thought provoking but the intention of the organisers is more important. They are trying to increase our happiness and create fantastic meet ups to do so!

The documentary was interesting although I thought it could have had some more footage of the various interviews.

The documentary movie was thought-provoking and emotional in parts. It prompted a great discussion afterwards

The Meetup was the highlight of my Tuesday - in addition to the helpful messages from the documentary (which I'd need to watch again when it's released on DVD to take some notes!) there was the welcoming smiles of Olivia and Ivan, receiving a Happy Kit put together by Olivia and delving into our feelings and intuition when faced with decisions. Thank you again for making these events special and a place of happiness!
