Hugely - impacts are not always visible, & it depends on how the organisation defines 'knowledge management'. To me, knowledge is alive; it needs people to engage & make sure it's cultivated and thrives. It's not purely about storage, access & tools.
Organisational culture & the orientation of leaders who set the tone throughout the organisation. If there is trust, commitment, passion, curiosity & a true sense of 'we're in it together' then there's a great starting place for knowledge to spread.
Hi all, I work in the areas of communication, collaboration and knowledge sharing. I have particular interests in leadership, innovation & change for how people work, learn & share in a world where geography is no longer a barrier to being together.
Our first Ignite sessions - A great way to kick off 2011 - experimentation, knowledge sharing, connecting with ideas and how to take them back into daily and work life. I met some really interesting people for the first time last night, and very much enjoyed all the familiar faces. See you next time! :-)
