Lack of effective KM denies the organization the opportunity synchronize priorities. It denies itself the ability to maximize the value of it's people. Of course, managing the knowledge still doesn't guarantee learning at the individual, collective and organisational levels but its a key enabler.
Iterative harvesting, analysis and integration of valid learnings. Devising mechanisms to ensure the desired behaviours are achieved (= lessons learned).
I am currently titled the Senior Analyst at the Centre for Army Lessons (CAL). My team and I have been at the centre of Army KM since 2001.
