Knowledge management is a major enabler for organisational learning. For organisations to be able re-invent themselves, knowledge management needs to be ingrained in all key processes, almost to a subconscious level.
Being aware of the current knowledge management level, and having a prudent idea about the level desired for effectiveness for the business environment at hand. In other words, the business case for the level of KM needed.
