How do you feel a lack of knowledge management impacts the organisation?

Absolutely. The organization that employed me for 17 1/2 years lost its defence business because it failed to transfer knowledge from its most successful and profitable project to a much smaller and supposedly "easier" one.

What constitutes good Knowledge Management practice in your eyes?

Understanding what your organization needs to know in order to meet its organizational imperatives, and organizing things to ensure that people have or can access the knowledge the need when it is needed and in a usable & understandable form

What is your Twitter ID if you have one?

PhD in evolutionary biology (Harvard, 1973) and have worked in Australian industry since 1981. Worked for Tenix Defence[masked] as doco & KM systems analyst. Currently Hon Fellow, Melbourne School of Engineering & guest lecture in engineering KM.
