Hi All, I am fascinated by the complexity of knowledge sharing and effective Social Media channels in the organisation. We have to share our knowledge to remain efficient, productive and have fun so why is that so hard to do?
Simply put a lack of Knowledge Management causes ill informed decisions to be made leading to organisational failure in the long run. Inefficiencies develop as a result of poor sharing of information and prevent finding the right person for the job.
Developing an org culture which is stimulated to share ideas and connect individuals through multiple channels of communication. Good KMs practice builds on grass routes platforms and works collaboratively to achieve an outcome suited to the Org.

I think KMLF Melbourne is an amazing collection of Individuals who inspire knowledge sharing and collaboration at all levels. Their enthusiasm and interest in the topic of Knowledge Management has fueled me to go out and explain the benefits of this wonderful discipline to a number of companies and organisations. I joined two years ago and have co-authored a book called "The Emotional face of Twitter" with the person I sat next to at my first Meetup way back then.

Hey Luke - great to meet you and gain insights on social media, its potential, risks and constraints. I've come away with thoughts about using social media and online tools to help manage projects. More on that later.
Cheers and thanks!
