Visit the Dandenong Ranges to view the Autumn splendour

Let's visit this area that is well known for its Autumn splendour late April - mid May.  There are several paths to walk and a tripod may well be in order.  Some paths require good hiking shoes but other paths are fairly flat.

We'll meet at the Rhododendron Gardens and then members can choose whether to visit other gardens afterwards such as: Alfred Nicholas Gardens, George Tindale Gardens, Emerald Lake and other areas, or just cruise along various roads and stop where your fancy takes you.

Enjoyable to be in the fresh air and see the autumn colours, next time we are bringing (proper) waterproof rain coats!

A bit wet but still beautiful. Found the shelter at Cherry Lane and loved all the colour there while waiting for the rain to pass.

Hi Kathie, sorry we didn't' make it. Slept in after yesterday's big day at the footy. Sounds like you had a wet morning. Hope it went well.

It was great to get out in the fresh air, despite the weather turning very wet and my raincoat being totally non-waterproof! Was sorry to cut it short, but we were getting drenched, lol.

Unfortunately I have to give this one a miss as my son's soccer game is at 9.00 am. Looks like Saturday mornings are out until August for me. I will look out for meetups at other times though. Looking forward to seeing your shots, and disappointed not to be going :(

Yes absolutely, completely understand. There maybe some days out that go for longer and I can come alone, or get someone to pick my son up. Joys of single parenting and all that. Looking forward to the next one I can attend. Do you ever do a night time one, would love to learn how to shoot at night. Maybe a city walk or beach at dusk!

Haven't planned one to date but you and any member are welcome to suggest meetups.
