Personal experience, every time i use one (tried several) it soon corrupts itself
Changing to an normal SD card fixes the issue

Re: micro SD in adapter.

Got a reason or a link that states why this shouldn't work?

I've been using mine in this config with no issues.

<Cough> Don't get anything smaller than 4Gb

Class 6 is better -- some people have been using Class 10 without problems, although the wiki says it may have problems

Pretty much any SD card that is at least 2GB will work, the minimum size for Debian/Raspbian images (when I last looked) is 2GB, and if you can get a Class 6 SD card for a bit faster booting and writing.

I'm using a 8GB Sandisk Ultra Class 6 SD Card with no issues. Got it for $19 at JB HiFi.

or do they all just work?

(Interestingly none of the OS download pages on a bunch of sites
mention what capacity SD card you need - I think this is because even
the smallest 512MB one will do...)
