Let's Chant! A sunday afternoon kirtan event in Balaclava with live band

LET'S CHANT!

An afternoon of deep chanting with fantastic kirtan musicans in
Balaclava.

We warmly invite you to join us for a couple of hours of chanting at
our monthly get-togethers. We chant simply because we love to - it
is why we have been chanting regularly for a total of 50 years
between us!

About the kirtanists

Harbant Gill – Harb, by day a journalist, is also a musician who has
been playing the harmonium and leading chants for 17 years as
part of the dogma-free spiritual journey she is deeply committed to.
She is also a former head of the Siddha Yoga music department and
a lover of traditional chanting as practised by the wise masters.

Philip Gunter - Phil, who began meditating at 17! has been leading
chants as a merdang player and percussionist for nearly 20 years.
He is also a professional oud player, and has been recording music
for the past 17 years as a solo artist and an ensemble member.
Phil is one of the in-demand drummers for Kirtan in Melbourne and
has a sensitivity and groove that is truly sublime.

Arjuna Roberts - I am director of Zen Yoga Central studio
(www.zenyogacentral.com.au) where I teach yoga and Mondo Zen
meditation and I'm also a jazz musician having played piano now for
over 30 years. I LOVE combining the practise of meditation with music
through the vehicle of Kirtan and I'm thrilled to be collaborating with
Harb & Phil with this offering.

This event will run from 2-4pm and the cost is $10.

You will have the option to sit on either cushions and chairs at the
studio.
