Hey hey folks, it's about time we had another of our shared market stalls! If you haven't joined us before the plan is simple - we share the cost of the market and each take a turn manning the stall.
Bend and Snap is a super cute artists market that takes place over a Sunday once a month. Last time I was soooo impressed by the quality of work being sold on the day. It's in the back gallery of 1000 Pound Bend, attached to their sweet cafe.
For more info check out their website here:
I should stress that doing a market like this is a lovely day out, but not necessarily a goldmine kind of day. Sometimes we sell things, sometimes we don't.
Bend and Snap provide the table and chairs, so there's not too much stuff we'd have to provide, and we've already collected together the usual stall paraphernalia (table cloth, cash box, bits of signage, little brown paper bags etc) so we don't need to go on an epic hunt for any of that gear ever again! Awesome!
The cost of the stall is $45, so please pay $10 in advance. If we have five or more people join the stall I'll refund a little bit to each person so the the amount paid by everyone equals $45.
- five or more items that you would like to sell at the market. We will be sharing one trestle table amongst ourselves, so it is best that your items aren't too large.
- $20 in small notes and change to add to the float. This will be returned to you at the end of the day.
The market will run from 11am to 4pm, so we expect to meet an hour early to set up (10am) and leave an hour after the market ends (5pm).
Bend and Snap always put up a blog post about craft stalls that are going to be at their next market, so if you have some great photos of the things you have made let me know and I'll pass them on to them.
If anyone has any questions or ideas send me an email. I'd love to start a planning conversation amongst everyone involved.
** Updates **
Because quite a lot of people have locked in to do the market we've booked a second stall. I'll make sure we get to go next to each other :)
Also, we're going to meet a few weeks before the market to do some planning/ answer questions/ get to know each other. Check out this meet up here:
