Hey folks I'm setting up a steampunk robot factory activity space at Bend and Snap Market. You remember those days when you were a kid and you made robots out of cereal boxes and it was the best thing ever? We're going to do that. But steampunk.
Materials and tools are provided but you're welcome to bring along any old leather, curly bits of metal, springs, gauges, or broken chronometrical mechanisms you feel might complement the assemblage of your homo-automatus.
If you're not into robots (impossible!) feel free to bring along your brassy bits to work on your own projects - I reckon it's about time all the steampunks in this group got together for a steamy crafternoon :)
To find us look for the steampunkerised craft space in the market. The robot factory is running all day but let's meet at 2pm for some crafty times.
It's pay-as-you-feel, but a donation to cover the cost of materials would be much appreciated.
1000 Pound Bend is at 361 Little Lonsdale Street in the CBD, and is close to Melbourne Central train station, as well as all the trams that run along Elisabeth St.
