Recycling and upcycling and second-handing are all awesome things, so we're going to have little mending workshops each month so we can learn to fix our stuff ourselves.
This month's mending skill is hand-sewing a hem, because wrong hems is a problem we've all had at some point.
All materials will be provided but please feel free to bring along your clothes that need a little love so we can work on them.
If you already have the knowin' and all your clothes are perfectly un-worn and un-torn, come along anyway as we will be doing a different cute craft each month :)
Rag Trade Market is a super cute upcycled fashion market, and they have offered us a space to use for our sessions. The craft space is running all day and will be called Things Your Nanna Knew workshops (so if you would like to come along during the day and help teach others please do!) but let's meet at 1pm for a drink and a bite and some crafty times.
The workshop is pay-as-you-feel, free if you like, but a donation to cover the cost of materials would be much appreciated.
1000 Pound Bend is at 361 Little Lonsdale Street in the CBD, and is close to Melbourne Central train station, as well as all the trams that run along Elisabeth St.

If you have any ideas for mending skills that we could teach to makers and non-makers alike make a suggestion!
