Integration in the Cloud: A first look at Windows Azure BizTalk Services

Integration in the Cloud: A first look at Windows Azure BizTalk ServicesBill Chesnut, BizTalk Server MVP, Mexia

Microsoft has recently released the preview of Windows Azure BizTalk Services. Bill will look at the history, features, deployment and testing of WABS. He will show how WABS can be an integral part of your hybrid integration strategy and offer a real alternative to running many of the common integration scenarios in the cloud. As with many of the Windows Azure PaaS offerings, Bill will cover the key differences of WABS and running BizTalk Server in a Windows Azure Virtual Machine.

    Hi,
Trying to get up and running. Installed the WindowsAzureBizTalkServicesSDK-x64 and all good as far as VS2012 goes - can add WABS project etc... However I want to use BizTalkAdapterService-x64 in order to use Biztalk SQL adapter to send from cloud to On Prem SQL instance. I dont have Biztalk2013 installed however I have installed BT2013 WCF LOB Adapter SDK and both 32x/64x Adapter Packs. However when I try to install the BizTalkAdapterService-x64 it says "Windows Azure App Fabric 1.0 or higher must be installed". I have got a version WindowsServerAppFabricSetup_x64_6.1.exe which doesnt install on Windows 8.

Does this mean I can only use Windows Server 2008 as my dev OS?

    Any help would be appreciated....
