The AAMI Park is a very unique stadium in Richmond. From the park you can also view the Nylex Clock which is an iconic neon sign sitting atop storage silos (its heritage listed). The silo is actually in Cremorne but if you sit at the far end of the park near the Hoddle Bridge you can see it.
We'll meet at 11am, on the corner of Swan & Punt Rd and then find a spot within the park. Its very close to the Richmond train station, and trams 70 go along Swan Street.
You select where and what you want to draw (you may want to join others or others may join you) then catch up again 2 hours later (at 1pm) at the same starting location to share, swap sketching notes, take some photos. We often like to share over a coffee or lunch afterwards (optional).
NOTE: You are responsible for your own safety and possessions, so please be mindful that you are sketching in a public space. > Participation is by gold coin donation, or pay $10 for the whole year. > Bring your own art materials. Optional: bring a stool to sit on, sunscreen, hat etc. > Look for people with sketchbooks
> Please only RSVP if you are definitely coming. I will wait for 10 mins only at the specified location. Happy sketching!
See you there!
