Are you free on Thursday evenings? (Otherwise it's not worth joining us for now; maybe try us again in 2016)
So far so good. =)
Our little choir is all about having fun and trying to make a sweet soul sound. We're not looking for anyone who just wants to hear the sound of their own voice. No prima donnas, would-be stars or big egos. Are you ok with that?
I'm late 30's and haven't sung in a choir since school, but I do like a good singalong. I don't really get the chance these days. =)
Calling all Melbourne soul lovers! Do you sing Stevie Wonder in the shower or belt out Otis Redding in the car? Then you should join us.
We're a fun and friendly group who meet in the CBD on THURSDAY evenings to sing and socialise. There's no 'choir director' in charge: we hire a singing teacher (Tom), and all members can have input into how the choir runs and what we sing.
We're a non-profit group, and we charge a fee which covers paying for our teacher, hiring the venue and the meet-up site fees. You can pay weekly, or you can sign up for the full term fee which gives you a discounted rate.
There are no auditions, and you don't even have to have an amazing voice. You can sit out and listen any time you don't feel like singing. All we ask of members is that they're friendly and respectful of others. No prima donnas or drama queens please!
We usually stay for a quick drink to eat in a local cafe after each singing session. We're looking forward to getting to know you there!
