Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. This story is similar to how we live today. We have allowed others to influence us to the degree that it changes our culture and who we are as a people. Instead of taking the good from other cultures and continuing to enhance our, own, we take the bad and some of the good from other cultures and eventually we lose who we are. Our once strong community loses its veracity and strength. The links in the chain that kept us together become broken and we are left with no culture of our own.
Enlightenment and new friendships.
I've recently relocated permanently back to the area. I was working in Jackson, MS but still resided here. I'm a newly first time mom.
I'm Lori. I was an avid reader at one time. However, the winds of life threw me overboard and I lost focus. I'm now regaining my love of reading and would love to surround myself with other readers.
