What is a seminal read that changed your perspectives or broadened your views of the African American Community?

I am not from the south. So I wasn’t exposed to our heritage like most were. So everything I read changes the way I see things. Reading helps me understand people better. For colored girls, The color purple, Malcom X, and many others.

What do you hope to gain from this experience?

I used to read all the time. I hope I will pick that love of reading up. Also will love just to sit among people with different views to help me see things in a different light. This will help me broaden my mind not think so closed minded sometimes.

Please share two things about you that can be shared by way of introduction.

I like to have fun and live life. I am about GOD, others, and then self.

My name is TeQuila. I'm 30ish and I graduated from the Strayer University. I am a thinker. I like to hear others points view about everything because people are interesting.
